The yard math on a Specific Plan 193 lot

Moreno Valley Ranch is the city's big master-planned community, adopted as Specific Plan 193 and last updated in February 2022. It runs from Lasselle St eastward, and from roughly John F. Kennedy Dr and Cactus Ave south to Nandina Ave and Grove View Rd. Only 6 percent of the zoning inside it is Suburban Residential. Twenty-eight percent is Small Lot Residential, and that is what you see along Krameria, Los Cabos and Via Pamplona: late-1980s to 2000s two-story tract houses on lots of about 4,000 to 5,500 square feet. Once the house footprint is out, the rear yard is often 500 to 900 square feet. A standard unit is 15 by 15 feet and wants three to five feet of clearance on every side, so the clear rectangle you need is 21 by 21 at the tightest and 25 by 25 at the roomiest, which is 440 to 625 square feet with nothing overhead. Read those two ranges next to each other and you can see the problem. A 700 square foot yard that is long and narrow fails. A 600 square foot yard that is close to square passes. We ask for a photo taken from your back door before we confirm a booking on these streets, because we would rather say no on the phone than unroll a unit in your side gate and stop.

Park shelters within reach of Lasselle St

When the yard does not work, the fallback here is the best in the city. Lasselle Sports Park at 17155 Lasselle St holds shelters 57 and 58, both large, both rated to 250 people. That is the single biggest reservable picnic capacity in Moreno Valley and it sits inside the plan area. Bethune Park has four medium shelters on one site, which makes it the easiest place in south Moreno Valley to put two families next to each other. You reserve the shelter with the city, then give us the shelter number and we deliver to it. The one thing a shelter number does not tell you is power. The unit needs a standard household outlet within 100 feet of where the blower sits, so ask about the outlet when you reserve, and tell us the answer before the day.

Nine minutes from Pepper Court to Lasselle St

Our shop is at 15167 Pepper Ct in 92551. The run east on Cactus Ave and then down Lasselle St takes about nine minutes when school traffic is not moving, and longer at the bell, because Rancho Verde High School at 17750 Lasselle St and Moreno Valley College at 16130 Lasselle St sit on the same street we are driving. Delivery, setup, anchoring and takedown are included. On lawn we drive stakes at all four corners. On the concrete and paver patios that are common on these small lots we switch to sandbags, and we need to know which surface you have before we load the van, because the two need different weight. You do not lift anything and you do not return anything.

What a bounce house rental costs in the Ranch

Rentals start at $125 flat, including the delivery, the setup, the anchoring and the takedown. There is no per-child charge, ever, and that matters more here than in most neighborhoods. This is Val Verde Unified territory, family density is high, and a class list from Vista Verde Middle School at 25777 Krameria St or Victoriano Elementary at 25650 Los Cabos Dr turns eight guests into thirty without anyone deciding to spend more. The rental does not scale with attendance. The final number depends on the unit, how long you need it and how far we are driving, which is why we quote by phone on 844-953-0494 instead of publishing a grid that would be wrong for half the people reading it. Open ground, wind, and the call we make

Fifty-five percent of Specific Plan 193 is open space. That is the Lake Perris foothills, the Rancho Verde equestrian trails and the 29.6 acres of the Juan Bautista de Anza Trail that run through the plan area. It is pleasant to live beside and it is also unobstructed ground. Inflatables and wind do not mix. If the forecast turns genuinely unsafe we will say so and move the date rather than set up and hope it holds. That call is ours, and we would rather lose the booking.

If your address is east of the plan boundary you are in Rancho Belago, which shares the 92555 ZIP with the Ranch but has newer housing on wider lots, so the yard question there usually answers itself.
