A district the City named in 2007, not an old town

Rancho Belago is not a settlement with a founding date. On 13 February 2007 the Moreno Valley City Council voted 4 to 1 to christen the eastern half of the city Rancho Belago, a coined blend of Spanish and Italian, running from Lasselle Street east to Gilman Springs Road. It covers essentially all of ZIP 92555 and holds the newest housing stock in the city, most of it built between about 1998 and 2015. Keep one thing straight while you are searching. Rancho Belago Estates is a different place, a pending 2,378 acre specific plan and annexation on unincorporated county land to the south-east inside the city's Sphere of Influence. Which Rancho Belago yards fit a 15x15 bounce house, and which do not

This district has the widest lot-size spread of any part of Moreno Valley, so the honest answer changes street by street. Our zoning tally for the block bounded by Lasselle, Redlands, Cactus and Ironwood comes back 13.7 percent RA2 Residential Agriculture at 2 dwellings per acre, 5.4 percent R1 at 1 per acre, 6.1 percent R3 at 3 per acre, 7 percent R5 alongside 5 percent small-lot, and 7 percent Hillside Residential. In practice the R1, R2 and R3 streets running toward Moreno Beach Drive and Redlands Boulevard have half-acre and larger flat pads, with room for a 15x15 unit and a water slide side by side. The small-lot tracts near Nason and Alessandro often do not. A standard unit needs roughly 15 by 15 feet of flat ground, 3 to 5 feet of clearance on every side and a standard outlet within 100 feet. Grass gets stakes, concrete gets sandbags. Measure the flat part of the yard rather than the whole yard and give us that number on the phone. Park shelters between Lasselle Street and Gilman Springs Road

If the yard is marginal, this district is better supplied with reservable shelters than most, and the table below is the full list east of Lasselle. Celebration Park at 14965 Morgan Ave is the only park in Moreno Valley with both a banquet facility and a 250 capacity shelter, which is Shelter #51. Two things to plan around. The City requires a Community Event Permit for a park event expecting 100 or more people or including jumpers or inflatables, amplified sound or food vendors, and that application closes 90 days before the event date with no exceptions. The shelter reservation is a separate booking. Sort both early, then call us with the shelter number, because we set up at the shelter and not at the park entrance.

AquaBella, the Downtown Center and where the parties are heading

The Alessandro and Nason superblock is the General Plan's designated Downtown Center, and the 730 acre AquaBella Specific Plan, SP-218, sits inside it at 89 percent small-lot residential. That is more families arriving on smaller lots, in the half of the district where yards are already tight, so we expect the park shelters here to carry more of the birthday load each year. The rate does not change either way. A half acre off Moreno Beach Drive and a new tract off Nason are quoted the same. Some of these parties end up at a relative's yard instead, in Moreno Valley Ranch or west in Sunnymead, and we deliver to all of it at the same day rate.

The drive out, and what we do when we arrive

From the shop it is about twelve minutes to Rancho Belago with a trailer, east on Alessandro Boulevard or Cactus Avenue depending on which end of the district you are in, then off onto Nason, Oliver, Moreno Beach Drive or John F. Kennedy Drive. If you are giving directions over the phone, the Riverside University Health System Medical Center at 26520 Cactus Ave and the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center at 27300 Iris Ave are the two landmarks we know without looking. Stoneridge Towne Centre at SR-60 and Nason and the Moreno Valley Auto Mall put weekend traffic on Nason, so we build a little slack into delivery windows near there. We unload, set up, anchor for your surface and come back at the end of the day to take it down. You do not lift anything and you do not return anything. Rentals start at $125 flat with delivery included, and there is no per-child charge, ever, so a party of 40 costs what a party of 12 costs. Most of the bookings we take in 92555 sit within a few streets of Valley View High School at 13135 Nason St, Mountain View Middle School at 13130 Morrison St, La Jolla Elementary at 14745 Willowgrove Pl or Audeo Charter at 27130 Eucalyptus Ave. If your street is one of those, tell us the school and we will already know the approach and where the trailer can sit while we carry the unit through.
